A Message from the Group Managing Director
In conjunction with the Mother Company, Ideal Multifeed Farm (Brunei) Sdn Bhd’s 50th Anniversary on 16th July 2019, and together with our recently accreditation for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 22000 logo certifications, we humbly announce our most proud achievement and the launching of a new facelift of our Ideal Group of Companies Logo today. We give tribute to our co-founders, the late Pehin Orang Kaya Di-Gadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awg Abdul Rahman and Mr. Toh Soon Hwa, for their lead and inspiring visions of producing and selling Halal poultry products.
However, whilst globally we are still in the fight with COVID-19 pandemic, it is only wise to celebrate with you digitally. In this auspicious occasion, we hope to strengthen our presence as one of the only poultry company in Brunei Darussalam with an Integrated Downstream Business Activities from “Farm-to-Plate”, by continuously improving our product quality and safety standards. As well, our team are always ready to deliver their very best services to the people of our beloved country.
With a half century of existence, it has become my aspiration to gradually evolve the company into a more automation system, with the dream of applying the best farming management practices in the poultry industry in this country. And up until today’s success, a quote that lingers from my late father; being a co-founder and my mentor, which I love to mention to people, “Morshidi, keep this company running for as long as it can, even though you are not the one managing it. Because this is food for the Muslim community and orang Brunei.” (He is truly missed.) These words encourages me to lead the company for the past 36 years since I joined in 1984, and shall live by for many generations to come. The continuous success is from the employee’s hard work and determination; this is the ideal ‘motivation’.
On behalf of Ideal Group Holdings Sdn. Bhd.’s Board of Directors, I would like to express an utmost appreciation to His Majesty’s Government, the Minister of Ministry of Primary Resource and Tourism (MPRT), the Permanent Secretary of MPRT, and all relevant Government Ministries and Departments who have been working alongside us, our suppliers, and loyal customers for supporting us throughout these years. Furthermore, I would like to extend an immense gratitude to our shareholders and employees for contributing to the growth and milestone being celebrated today. We pledge to become more committed in giving assurance and confidence to our current and potential stakeholders for supporting local industry and also local produce. We hope that your trust in us continues, for many more years to come.

Five Decades Of Strong Vision
After 51 years of family bound vision, Ideal Multifeed Farm (Brunei) Sdn. Bhd. has tied its goals and attributes to the beliefs of our co-founders, the late Pehin Orang Kaya Di-Gadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awang Abdul Rahman and the late Mr. Toh Soon Hwa.
Having to launch its peak of success on this date is to commemorate the date first established back in 16th July 1969. It started with a heart spoken decision where the Ideal family has long since given back to the community of Brunei Darussalam. Given its years of integrity and full strength, we choose to show the limitless possibilities of what a poultry industry can expand into as we reach our consumers directly. Hitting milestone after milestone, we are very fortunate to be able to celebrate our successes with you.
With this new milestone, we wanted to revision what Ideals new change really is all about. Having expanded to six subsidiaries today has highlighted the success of transitioning from traditional to modern ways implicated in the importance of local poultry production. Whilst the brand name IDEAL is strongly recognized in the local market, the Ideal Café & Grill has always been at the heart of everyone’s attention to which why we have strongly tied its old logo close to us until today.
Seeing our brand as a transition from seedling to a fully-grown plant exposes the endless possibilities to when we will bear fruit once again.
From Small Beginnings
In 1969, we started as a small farm and hatchery at Kg Kilanas. Hatching eggs were imported to produce Day Old Chicks to the Ideal Multifeed Farm (Brunei) Sdn. Bhd. From small beginnings to now a fast-growing chain of possibilities with invested technology. After 25 years, we celebrate the success of producing over 4.3 million hatching eggs and 2.5 million-day old chicks per year.
Growing Closer To The Community
For 25 years, we have always listened to our customers and stakeholders within this fast-growing market. We will always salute ourselves in establishing as one of the first fast growing poultry industry in Brunei Darussalam until today. Opening options and opportunities such as delivery services and social media marketing for the public has given us a great deal of success. This however is just a transit in our timeline as we will be celebrating again with what is to come.
